The 2023 USA FCV crop size is expected to be around 140 million kilos. The prices have not been decided yet but the average green price is expected to be around USD 4.60. Since the USA FCV demand from China has decreased significantly, the price of green Tobacco is not sufficient for US farmers. The growers are facing significant challenges in hiring affordable labor for producing Tobacco. The Tobacco growers are switching to alternative crops that require less labor and have lower input costs. Many farmers have expanded the production of grains crops and cattle production.

The USA Burley crop size is estimated at 30 million kilos in 2023 which was 25 million kilos in 2022. The average green price is expected to be around USD 5.30 which represents a 10% increase compared to last year.
